Capturing Baby's First Special Moments Forever
From the moment you lay eyes on your bundle of joy, you will wonder how you could love another person so very much. Make the most of it with a newborn session that captures this special time for your family.
You want photographs special enough to treasure for a lifetime ~ even across generations. I customize each newborn portrait session based on our conversations. We’ll take time to discuss what you are looking for. What kind of props would you like? Are family members present or is this just for baby? These are a few of the questions that help me plan the perfect session. Once our session is set, we will work together to make the day a great experience and create beautiful, heirloom photos you will treasure forever.
When should I schedule my newborn photography session?
Schedule before your bundle of joy arrives! Mark this to-do off your list: schedule newborn photos with Moments from the Heart Photography The majority of families I work with document their maternity and newborn sessions with the Belly to Baby Plan, so their due date is on my calendar months in advance. The “classic” newborn look will only last for a short period. If you want the snuggled up, sleeping newborn images, these generally need to be done within the first 10 days.
You want to make sure your newborn photographer is on the list of important people to contact as soon as your little one arrives.
If you are reading this as your new addition is snuggled in your arms, please don’t panic! Contact me and let’s see what we can do. Being a birth photographer as well, I realize that deliveries are often unexpected and unpredictable. It's never to late to photograph your newborn.
What does my Newborn Session include?
- Your newborn session is held at our studio located in North Austin / Cedar Park near the corner of 183 and 620 and typically last three hours. This allows time for feedings, cleaning up from wet spots (or more) that baby may have, as well as change in backdrops and sets.
- You have the option of having a Lifestyle Newborn Session within your home. If the location is further than 10 miles of the studio a travel fee may apply. This would be discussed during your pre-consultation.
- A pre-consultation to discuss and plan your session.
- Access to the studio’s extensive prop collection.
- Private Viewing / Ordering Appointment at our studio
- 10% off of your Newborn Package when booked with a Maternity Session.
Where do you get all of your goodies I see in your newborn images?
Okay, I will let you in on a little secret as long as you promise not to tell my husband — okay? I love newborn props, and I love them even more when I am able to use a coupon! The hubby and I have a long-running joke about me running to Michaels’s Craft Store when we first started dating. When he asked what I needed, I quickly replied, “I don’t know, but I’ve got a coupon!”
So don’t worry! I’ve got blankets, hats, bows and more for us to play with. But, I would LOVE for you to bring your own personal style and encourage you to bring items that are important to you and your family. Whether it is great-grandma’s handmade scarf, uncle Don’s toy chest, or even your favorite piece of jewelry, I welcome it!
