Hard to believe it has been almost 7 months since Mr J came into this world and boy, oh boy, is he cute! Granted, his mommy is one of my close friends, but still, admit it…he is a handsome little fella’!
So, now to the good part, I’m sure you are wondering how exactly we got Mr J to “strike” a pose so similar to the one from his newborn session, right? Well, honestly, we had nothing to do with it and didn’t even know it happened until I reviewed the images at home. It all happened so quick, he was happy being on his tummy (for all of maybe a minute), then he had had enough of tummy time and let us know the party was over 🙁 Now the question to ask, Mr J, watcha going to do come your First Birthday Celebration to wow us?? You better get to work on that!
No time to stop and pose – I’m turning ONE and we have to celebrate!
Who is too busy to slow down? Why, it is Lillie of course! Little Miss came into the Austin studio ready to go. Go as fast as she could!! With First Birthday Celebrations, I usually have to switch into action mode. For this photo session, I watched for those few moments a birthday girl might give me a pose between racing Daddy across the floor making a break around Mommy for the exit. Lillie’s Dad can tell you first-hand he lost almost every race -she was a crawling machine. She had places to go! Luckily, she slowed down just a bit around the turns.
BUT, do you know what will stop an busy little girl, at least for a few moments?? Umm, that would be CAKE! Nothing beats enjoying a cake smash between destinations. But that has to be our little secret. Miss Lillie you can come share cake with me whenever you have time to stop by 🙂
In each session where special attire — hats, ties, headbands, bows, bow ties — are desired you can’t know how it is going to turn out. This Little Miss was a trooper right up until the end with her bow. It was almost as if she finally realized something was on her head and she would have no part of it. The next 6 frames after are filled with mom putting it on, her taking it off, mom putting it on, her taking it…I think you get the picture here (LITERALLY)!
Even with the battle of the headband at the end you can see from the next few that she was all smiles. And who would believe that mom thought she’d be serious the entire time. Needless to say she proved us both wrong 🙂
