When Mom called to let me know she’d won the gift certificate I’d donated to benefit Roll 2 Walk‘s Casino Night and she had identical twin girls, I was giddy with excitement! And, these little ladies did not disappointment. Miss Sydney & Miss Shelby are so much alike, even Mom & Dad had a hard time figuring out who was who unless the girls were right next to each other {hence where the letter “A” on Miss Sydney’s foot came in handy for us all}. They were so precious and I could have spent hours photographing them, analyzing every little detail — the long blond eyelashes that you can barely see to the lovely lips that I’m sure will receive many a kiss from their adoring parents, and the list of perfections goes on and on. Mom & Dad, enjoy your little peek, it was a pleasure getting to know you all!

i was blessed to meet this little one shortly after her arrival into the world, coming in at a little over 4 pounds and 4 weeks early. so, when mom emailed to see if i would be willing to do a newborn session for her little girl it did not take long to say yes! although she was a month old on the day of her session she is now a healthly 6 pounds and even though tiny, she will melt your heart. from those eyelashes to the soft downy hair still on her back…ahhh, i could have had her with me all day. mom & dad, thanks for sharing a bit of your day with me and your angelic little rose ~

this too cute matching shirt for daddy & baby happens to be on sale at a pea in the pod! i love sales as much as taking daddy baby photos! This is another great item from Diaper Dude – If your new daddy or daddy-to-be cringes at flowery diaper bags, you should check out the manly Diaper Dude bags. Nothing completes the picture of a combat-ready father like a camo diaper bag!

I enjoy the whole baby and daddy interchange when working with newborns. In my family newborn portrait sessions, I find the most playful newborn photos come when the dad’s in the picture. Dads also seem to be the ones who end up buying the matching clothes! In a recent session, dad made sure baby started out supporting the right team – both came out in Red Sox garb.

This little bundle could have gone home with me! He had such long fingers & toes, not to mention he was just too adorable. The boots belong to his Daddy; he wore them on their wedding day and when they did their maternity portraits as well.

Thanks K & N for bringing the little guy in, it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Something magical about the interaction between a mom and a new baby. We had a wonderful opportunity with a restless, wide-awake newborn intent on charming mom (and photographer).

it seems summer has been the time for me to get together with my college friends, and this shoot was no different. meet miss b ~ her mom and i were roommates our very first year in college at good ‘ol mcmurry university. it was so good to see carol and photograph her little angel, miss b, not to mention enjoy some great mexican food while in dallas. carol, thanks for letting me capture these moments of miss b, i can’t wait to see you again! l&m, sandy
