i had the great pleasure of attending the birth retreat workshop earlier this year and got lucky enough to have my college roommate, carol, be one of the maternity models. and, carol did not disappoint — she came with the cutest little baby bump & was just as lovely {and skinny} as she was back when we were in college at mcmurry university. we had wonderful to catch up with her but also capture the incredible beauty that she was while pregnant.

carol / duckie, i love you so much & i am so glad we were able to see each other. next time lets not wait two years between visits! l&m, sandy

You know you are going to have a great time capturing images for your maternity session when the soon-to-be big brother does this number right off the bat….

But, since my mom didn’t raise no quitter {she was a coach & always pushed us to do our best}, these are a few captures of what we ended up with…

Mom & Dad, I must say that I really did enjoy getting to know Garrett & I look forward to you coming back for your newborn session when little brother arrives. And, I love my new Jack ball on my car — thanks Garrett for sharing with me!

i must say this is one of my favorite images from a maternity session — simple yet so powerful when you think of the incredible little one growing inside.
and this image of dad’s hand on mom’s baby belly, love it!

looking forward to hearing if it was a boy or a girl…the mystery still remains!

And, his mom, Amanda ~ while doing this maternity session mom & I were talking about the potential names for baby boy. As all of us parents know, it isn’t always the easiest to both pick a name you love. So, with that being said, I am throwing my name choice into the hat ~ WILSON, all inspired from this shot. Amanda, let me know what the hubby thinks

as a women & mother, i think the joy of being pregnant is one of the most incredible gifts we can experience. and as a photographer, i am blessed to be able to see this with each maternity session.

this soon to be mom is breath taking ~ sometimes words just cannot describe the beauty of a women, it simply must be seen.
