You know you are going to have a great time capturing images for your maternity session when the soon-to-be big brother does this number right off the bat….
But, since my mom didn’t raise no quitter {she was a coach & always pushed us to do our best}, these are a few captures of what we ended up with…
Mom & Dad, I must say that I really did enjoy getting to know Garrett & I look forward to you coming back for your newborn session when little brother arrives. And, I love my new Jack ball on my car — thanks Garrett for sharing with me!
I absolutely love the meaning behind this image — the airplane is actually from mom & dad’s wedding cake & now their little one is about to have his own airplane themed nursery! During the consultation for maternity sessions I ask mom if she has anything special she’d like to bring — family heirlooms, nursery blanket, stuffed animals, etc. And, when Mrs A showed up she did not disappoint. She brought the blanket that she’d used as a baby, her mom lovely mailed it to her to use for her little one. Then, the extra treat of the airplane from the wedding along with all the other airplanes dad (yes, Nick I’m talking about you) brought and lovely had them landing on mom’s belly…it was cute & also special to see just how in love this man is with his beautiful wife and their son. one of the biggest questions i get as a photographer is “what do we wear?” so, with that in mind (and to help jody) take a look!
p.s. i think i may need a pair of those shoes for me!
and, she doesn’t even realize it! this mom to be had the cutest baby belly and i am so excited to say that she got the Belly to Baby package so i will be photographing her new addition soon! here is a little peek at her maternity session last week…
i must say this is one of my favorite images from a maternity session — simple yet so powerful when you think of the incredible little one growing inside.

Yes, it is almost time for “Wilson” to arrive. And thanks to my wonderful friend, Mrs A, for trusting me to also photography his upcoming birth. I am so excited! Here are a couple more images of her outdoor maternity shoot ~
And, his mom, Amanda ~ while doing this maternity session mom & I were talking about the potential names for baby boy. As all of us parents know, it isn’t always the easiest to both pick a name you love. So, with that being said, I am throwing my name choice into the hat ~ WILSON, all inspired from this shot. Amanda, let me know what the hubby thinks

as a women & mother, i think the joy of being pregnant is one of the most incredible gifts we can experience. and as a photographer, i am blessed to be able to see this with each maternity session.
this soon to be mom is breath taking ~ sometimes words just cannot describe the beauty of a women, it simply must be seen.
