A sneak peek for a very lucky fiancé. She joined us at the Pilot Knob Vineyard’s recent Women and Wine event. Held at their beautiful Tasting Room and Event Center, our bride-to-be joined other women for makeup, boudoir photographs, and delicious wine. She was one of many ladies who ducked into the bridal room for a special set of boudoir photos.

Thanks to her and everyone else that made it such a wonderful day at the vineyard. If you and your friends would like to have your own special boudoir event or girls night out, I have special arrangements, prices, and hair and makeup partners. And I’ll bring the wine!

Isn’t there something special about wearing your man’s work shirt and tie. Is it the hint of his cologne? The silky tie that can be used to strategically cover up a little bit? He loves you enticingly marking your territory almost as much as you do. Its a special intimacy couples share – and he’ll never tie that tie again without a little smile, thinking about how good it looks on you. Mrs. A ~ his shirt and tie have never been happier. “Women think that boudoir is about getting undressed when in reality it’s about getting dressed. You’re getting ready to show your best self. You may start with a long hot bath. Next comes hair and makeup. Next comes the “lingerie” which is just a fancy word for bra and panties. And what I tell women is to pick something really comfy to put on next like sweats. You don’t want to feel like you are peeling out of your clothes after a long hard day at the office. Instead when you come to your shoot, you slip off your sweats to reveal the true beauty concealed inside.”

She really hits the nail when she says “really it’s for any woman at any time.” While bridal boudoir is certainly a growing trend – and I’ve done several sessions for brides guaranteed to be memorable for the groom lucky enough to receive that album as a wedding gift – boudoir is not just limited to brides. Any anniversary – first, fifth, or even your fortieth – is a great time to celebrate being a woman and reminding that special someone in your life how lucky he truly is!

Maternity photography meets boudoir

As most of you have realized, not only do I provide maternity photography for a mom-to-be but I specialize in boudoir photography as well. Combining the two, maternity with a boudoir twist, has to be one of my favorites. You ask why? Not only does the aspect of life growing inside of a women continue to amaze but I think every women feels a special sensuality during this time. Not only is it a life changing moment for mom but also those around them — the way their partner looks a them knowing they soon will be holding one of the most precious gifts they ever will receive but also the love their extended family and friends share as excitement builds toward the “arrival”. They will forever treasure the moment captured of their pregnancy but also the beauty they held during that time.

“beauty has no age”

i often get asked by women what type of person comes to me for a boudoir session, and the dove real beauty campaign — “beauty has no age” — speaks volumes about the type of women that come to me. women, younger and most often older, of all shapes and sizes, wanting to celebrate the beauty they often only feel within. boudoir does not have to be revealing, it is often about a look and a feeling that comes through when you look back at the images taken. they will speak to you for years to come, reminding you of the beauty that each of us, as women, have. so celebrate the woman within!

This has to be one of my favorite images of this session; and, it was for Mrs C as well — it is a large 16×24 matted print proudly displayed in her home. A work of art and no one even has to know it is her. I knew it was going to be incredible as soon as I took it; showing the incredible curves and beauty that all women have.

Can you believe that this stomach belongs to that of a women who is almost 50??

I don’t think I even looked like that in high school, much less in 10+ years and expect to look this good (sorry hubby). This cowgirl wanted to give a special gift to herself and her husband before she reached her 50th birthday. Needless to say, all of the hard work she does at home and on the ranch shows! Mrs C, you are quite the beauty. Thanks for trusting me with these incredible images.
