Little Mr. C is a great sleeper – at least when he’s in a photography studio. Whether it was the cozy hat or the heating pad I hid earlier under the warm blanket, I couldn’t tell. His parents warned they may be back later that evening

Sometimes, you look down because the baby kicked and you know that there has to be a footprint left.

Sometimes, you look down because all of the changes feel like they are happening way too fast, and your nervous about what might change next.

And sometimes, you look down because your husband is smiling at you – and you just realized why.

Thanks to Amy Ro, an incredible talented photographer from Rhode Island, for putting into words what I so often try to explain when discussing print size with families when displaying maternity and newborn portraits. Unless you are standing with someone looking at their own wall space, holding up the various options, it is often difficult to “see” exactly what size you need to fit the scale of the room and the furniture within.

If you haven’t seen the Kodak video — Keep Me, Protect Me, Share Me – it is worth the time to take a look. I had originally posted this almost 2 years ago and during a recent class at Imaging USA the instructor shared it again. It makes me cry every time, so please have the tissues near by. Such a strong inspiration to take the time to print your photos and especially family photos. Even I need to take the time to do it.
